Frost is an SGI Altix ICE 8200 cluster available to CCS Directorate staff as a development platform. Frost is currently configured with 128 compute nodes each having 16 virtual cores and 24GB of memory, four login nodes, infiniband interconnects, and a gigabit ethernet network. Frost has access to Spider, the center-wide Lustre filesystem, for user and project work areas.
