INCITE Project Quarterly Reports

Two and a half dozen INCITE projects represent more than 80% of the total available cycles on the Jaguar system at the NCCS. With such large, high-profile allocations comes a great deal of interest by us and our sponsors that each project succeed in their stated goals.

To readily identify successes, challenges, or suggestions by our INCITE users, each INCITE project is required to submit a quarterly report in the form of a few presentation slides. A template is available to simplify the responses which will include science results, publications, tracking of project milestones, etc. Quarterly reports are not only a way to communicate with us the progress of your project, but also serves as a means for researchers to submit regular feedback to the NCCS. The center is always eager to hear comments from the users and work with the research teams to insure that each project is meeting its goals.

The quarterly reports are very important to the successful operations of the NCCS and, consequently, to the researchers who utilize the center’s resources. NCCS staff are ready to work with you to complete the template, but this is so important to us that we have introduced the following policies for late submission:

  • 1 MONTH LATE – job priorities reduced as if project is 100% utilized
  • 3 MONTHS LATE – job priorities reduced as if project is 125% utilized

The quarterly report templates will be sent to the principal investigator of each project at the end of each quarter. The reports are due two weeks after the end of each quarter of the calendar year, on the following dates:

  • Quarter 1 report: April 15, 2009
  • Quarter 2 report: July 31, 2009
  • Quarter 3 report: October 14, 2009
  • Quarter 4 report: January 14, 2010
